The Seniors’ Drop-in Centre provides a safe, informal space for individuals 55 years of age and older to gather. The Centre provides breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday, as well as access to crisis management with an emphasis on low-income seniors who are vulnerable, potentially isolated or are living in at-risk conditions. The Senior Crisis Intervention and Outreach Worker develops goal oriented crisis support plans aimed to assist seniors in stabilizing their current crisis and connects seniors with the most appropriate community services. The program provides short term case management as well as referrals to long term community supports.
Social/recreational activities are also offered through the centre.
